Veezu Offical Ride Partner of MOBO Awards 2024

21 February 2024

Sheffield's leading private hire firm, Veezu, was the official ride partner of the prestigious MOBO Awards last week, renowned for celebrating excellence in music of Black origin.

Held at Sheffield's Utilita Arena on Wednesday 7 February, the MOBO's 26th edition saw performances from Sugababes, Ghetts and 1980's R&B band Soul II Soul, as each were recognised with special achievement awards.

As Sheffield welcomed the ceremony for the first time, the MOBO awards collaborated with Sheffield City Council and Sheffield Music Hub on a project which saw thousands of local school pupils perform Stormzy's Blinded by your Grace. The initiative involved over 70 schools in this once in a lifetime opportunity, to celebrate this milestone for the steel city.

As official ride partner, Veezu provided luxury, chauffeur-driven transport for artists, presenters and VIP guests attending the awards ceremony in Sheffield from across the UK. Beverley Knight and MOBOs founder Kanya King were amongst those who travelled with Veezu to the star-studded event. Attendees were also encouraged to book their ride home with the Veezu app.

Sacha Skinner, Regional Marketing Manager at Veezu, said: "Partnering with an organisation as iconic as the MOBO Awards is really something special, especially in our hometown. We've been operating in Sheffield for over 40 years and love to see opportunities like this draw attention to our city, and it's great to see them working alongside local organisations and causes in the community."
