Double triumph for Veezu at 2019 Professional Driver QSi Awards

27 November 2019

Veezu were recognised in two categories at this years’ Professional Driver QSi Awards 2019.

We’re delighted to announce that Veezu were recognised in two categories at this years’ Professional Driver QSi Awards!

The ceremony, held last Thursday 21st November at Effingham Park Hotel in Gatwick, is designed to recognise taxi and private hire operators from across the UK that demonstrate excellent standards of quality, service and innovation. Veezu were the proud winner of the Silver Award for our work within the local communities across the Group. This includes the recent NSPCC campaign, The Big Drive to Stop Child Cruelty, which raised an incredible £50,000 for the charity’s Childline initiative, as well as our sponsorship of local sports teams, events and universities.

We also took home the Bronze Award for Large Private Hire Operator of the Year. This recognition was due to Group-wide programs such as Veezu Academy and Go Achieve which aid the growth and development of our employees, plus our investment in technology and commitment to enhancing engagement with driver-partners.

Professional Driver Editor Mark Bursa said: “Veezu is driving consolidation in the private hire industry, creating huge regional hubs, investing in technology and driver training.” “Veezu’s Silver Community award is tinged with sadness. This company raised a staggering £50,000 to support Childline - just by donating 1p from every app booking during a 13-month period. The initiative was the idea of company CEO Joel Hope-Bell, who tragically passed away from cancer last year."
