Rowan's Hospice Partnership with Veezu

Some journeys matter more than others. When families are navigating the challenges of serious illness and end-of-life care, the last thing they should worry about is how to get to appointments or visit loved ones.

That's why we recently partnered with Rowan's Hospice in Portsmouth to provide free transport for patients and their families accessing hospice services. It's a small gesture that we hope can make a real difference during an incredibly difficult time.

Why Transport Matters in End-of-Life Care

For families supporting someone with a life-limiting illness, regular hospital visits, hospice appointments, and spending precious time together can be complicated by practical challenges—especially transport.

The reality for many families is that frequent hospital visits mean mounting travel costs. Family members juggle work, caring responsibilities, and hospital visits. Parking near hospices and hospitals can be expensive and stressful

Our partnership aims to remove one of those pressures, making it easier for families to focus on what truly matters: being there for each other.

About Rowan's Hospice

Rowan's Hospice provides specialist end-of-life care, bereavement support, and wellbeing services for people affected by life-limiting illnesses across Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. The charity relies on community partners to sustain its compassionate work and ensure dignified care for those who need it most.

Patients and relatives accessing Rowan's Hospice services can now benefit from free rides to and from the hospice, helping them stay connected to vital care and support without the added financial strain.
