Veezu Is the New Name for Drive Taxis

Drive Taxis, a trusted name in local transport in Doncaster, Hull and York, is rebranding as Veezu. The change follows Drive’s acquisition by the Veezu Group inOctober 2024 and marks the next step in delivering smarter, more connected and consistent mobility services across the region.

Since entering the Hull market in 2017, Drive has brought together multiple local operators to create Hull’s first truly unified private hire service. Following this success, Drive expanded into Doncaster and York, building a strong regional presence that has laid the foundation for today’s rebrand.

Veezu, the UK’s fastest-growing and largest private hire technology company, now operates in over 50 locations nationwide and partners with over 16,000 Driver-Partners. Veezu’s acquisition and rebrand of Drive is a strategic move that strengthens its presence in Yorkshire and the Humber and is part of a coordinated rebrand of Drive across Hull, Doncaster and York. This move gives Veezu a unified identity and service across three key cities.

Passengers will continue to experience the same reliable, local service, now enhanced by Veezu’s technology and national scale. The Veezu app brings a smarter, more streamlined travel experience, including real-time vehicle tracking, enhanced address search and multiple payment options such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, card and cash. Passengers can also pre-book journeys in advance, offering greater flexibility and convenience.

The rebrand comes amid growing momentum to level up transport infrastructure and economic opportunity across the North. From large-scale government funding commitments to proposals for a Northern Arc of clean growth and connectivity, cities like Hull are increasingly central to the UK’s regional development strategy.
