Veezu partners with Sheffield United Women FC to provide safe travel to fans

Veezu, formerly named City Taxis, has partnered with Sheffield United Women as their official ride partner for the 2023/24 season.

The launch of their ‘Veezu Safe Rides’ campaign pledges to provide safe travel for fans to and from matches and events, by simply using their season card as temporary payment when they are unable to pay for their taxi fare. The scheme is already in place for Sheffield United season card holders.

“Having partnered with Sheffield United for over 13 years, we are thrilled to extend our support to the SUFC Women’s team for the upcoming season”, states Sacha Skinner, Regional Marketing Manager at Veezu. “This partnership represents an opportunity to show our unwavering support for gender equality, whilst highlighting the importance of safe travel, particularly for females, as the winter months roll in.”

We are extremely proud to have the Veezu Safe Rides initiative showcased on our Women’s season ticket cards for the 23/24 season. This scheme has already proved a huge support to the people of Sheffield and will ensure our loyal fan base always have a safe ride home.”

This collaboration aims to support the already flourishing women’s football movement, encouraging more fans to embrace and support the team, whilst promoting safe travel within the community.
