Britannia Taxis and Veezu Spreads Easter Cheer with Donation to Local Children’s Hospitals

3 April 2024

Britannia Taxis has become the Easter bunny this year, donating Easter eggs and activity packs to children’s hospitals across Wigan, St Helens and Merseyside.

Britannia has partnered with Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, Whiston Hospital’s children’s department and Wigan’s Royal Albert Edward Infirmary children’s department to provide Easter treats to young patients as part of a group-wide initiative.

Britannia Taxis is a regional brand of Veezu, the UK’s largest and fastest growing private hire firm, and made the donation through the Funded by Veezu community support initiative. The programme helps fund hundreds of local projects nationwide and aims to make a positive difference in the local community.

Each local hospital provides life-saving services to children and young people across the region, alongside support for their families. Activities and donations such as this allow the centres to bring joy and entertainment to their patients during their visit.

“We are pleased to be able to support the children at Alder Hey, Whiston Hospital and Wigan Hospital with this donation,” said Rosanna Hynes, Hyperlocal Marketing Manager at Britannia. “We hope that these Easter treats and activities will bring some joy to the children and their families.”
