Veezu kicks off Rotherham Titans’ centenary season with the sponsorship of Titans Community Foundation
8 October 2023
The Titans Community Foundation works with local schools and young people to promote rugby, health, and fitness. The Foundation has worked with over 3,000 young people and 47 schools and colleges across Rotherham.
Working with Rotherham Titans Rugby Club, Titans Community Foundation sees that any young person that interacts with the charity be coached by the Rotherham Titans players themselves, in a mentorship role.
One of the charity’s focuses for 2024 is to roll out their new health and fitness app to local schools, which aims to encourage healthier eating choices. Titans star Jamie Cook has been working on the project since 2021, after being shocked by the lack of physical activity and poor diet amongst Rotherham school children. Titans Community Foundation will also continue to deliver career and mental health programmes within local schools and at the Rotherham Titans clubhouse.
Sacha Skinner, Hyperlocal Marketing Manager of Veezu, said: “We are delighted to be able to sponsor Titans Community Foundation as one of our key partnerships for 2023-24. The charity makes such an impact in the local community, and we’re so pleased to be a part of their exciting plans for this next year.”
John Whaling, Director of Rotherham Titans RUFC, said: “The Titans Community Foundation is pleased to welcome Veezu as a major sponsor for the 2023-2024 season. It’s great to see a local company stay committed to local causes, and we’re grateful for their support.”
