V Cars has announced that it has formed a new partnership with Swindon Town Football Club as the official ride provider for the 2022-23 season.
The company is one of the biggest taxi and private car firms in the South-West and has now introduced a designated pick-up point at the County Ground.
As part of the partnership, V Cars will be delivering the matchday ball to the centre at each home game during the League Two campaign. The private hire and taxi firm will continue to show its support for the local community by backing the club’s mascot programme for young supporters and is seeking to introduce exclusive promotions for fans.
Jack Price, Regional Drive Director of V Cars, said: “We have always been focused on driving forward the local communities we serve to give fans and passengers what they want. The club is a focal point of the community - both driver-partners and passengers love the Robins. We’re excited to team up with them again this season. “We’re thrilled to be able to contribute in so many ways to shape the match day experience. The mascot packages, which have become popular, will be raffled off to young fans. The new pick-up point will help cut down congestion in the area too. And with more exclusive promotions planned, we can show our support to the local team and the local community.”
More than 1,200 drivers partner with V Cars to operate in Bath, Bristol, Chippenham, and Swindon and the business has an upstanding reputation in the local community.
Danny Lee, Head of Commercial at Swindon Town FC, said: “It’s an exciting period at the club and we’re delighted to have V Cars onboard for the journey. As part of the new agreement, we will be working together on several new initiatives, including the designated pick-up point at the County Ground on match days.” V-Cars now offers an improved app, which enables passengers to skip call queues and book a journey in seconds, with an average wait time of just four minutes from point of booking to the vehicle arriving at the pick-up point.
